Every sentence has them: subjects and predicates
A sentence can be considered to have two parts: a subject and a predicate. The subject is what the sentence is about; the predicate tells us what the subject is or does. The predicate is the part of the sentence containing a verb and not including the subject. In these worksheets, students identify the subjects and predicates in sentences.
